First, a MnDOT press release on the I-35W river bridge:

In a nutshell, MnDOT expects the new I-35W Mississippi River bridge to
be complete "sometime between mid-September and mid-October".

Meanwhile, MnDOT plans to open up the last segment of the new US 212
freeway on July 14. The opening celebration comes early...July 1
(this Tuesday). Also noted is that the interchange at Carver CR 147,
at the west end of the project, will not be completed until mid-
August.
So MN 312's days are limited, as it has long been MnDOT's intention to
sign the new freeway as US 212 once it was fully completed. This will
also bring to a conclusion the question about the designation of the
short freeway section between the I-494/MN 5 interchange and the US
212/Valley View Rd interchange (it's currently hidden MN 805).
As for existing US 212, I received an E-mail from the Hennepin County
Transportation Department that their section will be designated as an
extension of Hennepin CSAH 61. No word yet on the Carver County
segment, and their highway department apparently doesn't exist on the
internet...
