cutting back .. as opposed to having no oil and no options is not

people can:

buy a more fuel efficient vehicle

Not everyone can; do you have $25000 laying around?

carpool ... one day a week

Only if someone lives nearby going the same way.

telecommute

Only if the employer allows it

flex hours

Only if the employer allows it

get into a van pool or commuter bus

Only if one is available.

to name just a few ...

Gee, here I was expecting you to also list:

Quit your job and move to the city
Sell your SUV and ride a bike
Organize a carpool/rideshare (not just get on one)

and no .. not everyone can do every option and
yes perhaps some folks can do no options but we use more oil per
capita than most other industrialized countries in the world which
amounts to 20% of the world supply.

you say hypocritical ass.. I say ...dumb ass John... because that's
what you sound like a knee jerk hick....with a foul mouth..

Keep it up Larry; the killfile is for people like you who've run out
of anything to say.

And actually I never called you an ass.

actually John, I would appreciate the killfile... because when you
spent your time doing personal character attacks.. I'm better of when
you don't respond.

I have not run out of things to say... but you apparently have less
and less tolerance for views you don't agree with.

the things that I have advocated are common-sense measures that many
folks do.. and yes I do some of them but what I point out to you is
that no one owes any of us a home near where we work or a job we like
or enough money to sell your suv and get a hybrid or any of these
things...

no one owes you cheap oil or not having expensive oil and the problems
that go with it.

I call this personal responsibility. You take responsibility for the
things that you deal with instead of blaming others -

If gasoline is too much for your lifestyle - then take some personal
responsibility in dealing with it. Not all of the choice may be ones
you can do or want to do but some of them you can do - if you are
really serious about doing something about it - yourself.

If you think that these things are "running out of things to say", you
are entitled to your view.. certainly but you're not entitled to be a
dumbass about it which is what you are doing IMHO.

so John .. put the killfile on and save us both further irritation.
