While looking at the Denver map for the thread on separate interstates/
consecutive interchanges, I realized that within one unbroken 10 mile
drive, I could drive on five separate interstate highways.
Start on NB I-25 at the exit to EB I-76, take the next exit to EB
I-270, go five miles to EB I-70, then 3.6 miles to SB I-225. Works in
the other direction too, although rampage in the WB direction would
add a bit of mileage.
Anywhere else have as many/more interstates in as little/less mileage?
In Oakland, CA you could traverse from I-880 northbound (starting just
before I-980) to I-980 northbound to I-580 westbound. From there you
could choose I-80 westbound over the Bay Bridge, or you could choose
I-80 eastbound in its wrong-way multiplex with I-580 westbound.
That's 4 Interstates (880,980,580, 80) in under 5 miles.
