I don't know if it led a "national" revolution. But it did actively
work to unseat a previously popular governor because he raised taxes.
If memory serves, that governor's successor reduced taxes, but did so
using sleight of hand and ended up leaving the state in a terrible
fiscal mess with an enormous debt.

Per the other post of Reublican populism, I don't think this station
is doing this for ideological reasons. Rather, I think it's mere
demoguery as a ratings stunt. That station rails against Republican
leaders just as much.

It bothers me that a station spreads false information and gets people
upset about public issues as a cheap stunt to build an audience.

BTW, the station lost a libel suit against a public figure (which is
very hard to do) by calling a retired children's show host gay.
Another time they insulted the governor's wife's health problems for
which the governor threatened to punch the show hosts. The public
clearly sided wtih the governor on that one.
