Well that's the 'It's not debate, it's shouting' mechanic I was referring to
last night. This is not the discussion of an issue per se, it's the good
olde republican schtick of demonising EVIL taxes; the sort of fake populism
they've been drivelling out for the last 40+ years, as a means of
convincing 'the little people' that the republicans are looking out for
them. Facts are an encumbrance to this sort of propagandising.
