Was this a host...or was this an editorial by the station. IF it is
one host...it doesn't mean that's the position of the station...let

It was the hosts of the afternoon drive show. However, all of this
station's hosts are very anti-govt and use loaded nasty adjectives,
like "we all know there's tons of fat in the contract", "we just
can't afford to pay the workers that salary and it has to be cut just
like we have to cut", "screwing the taxpayer", "people can't afford
the taxes and they're fleeing the state", "no other state is as
messed up as NJ is", "oh, c'mon, you KNOW they're all corrupt".
(Ironically, Pennsylvania, which is about 30 feet from their studio,
has more tax troubles than NJ has and has the I-80 fight. Plenty of
people continue to flee NYC or Phila for a NJ suburb.)
What I object to is the loaded emtional words, knee-jerk reactions,
and lack of specifics. Sure, no one likes taxes or tax increases, but
at least get the facts straight. Taxes are not "screwing the
public" (as the guy repeatedly said last night). Those hosts are also
very well paid yet their schtick includes living like paupers.
Normally I don't listen to this station but in scanning the dial I
heard him mention the gasoline tax so I was curious.
As mentioned, NJ has one of the lowest gas taxes in the whole country,
and property taxes cover county roads.
