Or did it? Looks like some sloppy reporting. Twice, the article
references
this happening in Montana... but I can't locate a Fairmont, MT, and there
sure is a Fairmont, MN on I-90... and he was airlifted to the Mayo Clinic
in Rochester, MN. Must have been in MN after all.

This happens more often than one might think. There was a very
similar case a decade or so back where some kids near Eau Claire,
WI, dropped a pumpkin off of an overpass. It smashed through the
windshield of an RV and oblitterated the passenger's face. The
Red line train in LA had to have metal screens put on the locomotives
windows because all the kids that were throwing rocks at the train
engineers from the overpasses.

A few years ago a passenger in a car was killed in Durham after kids
dropped a piece of riprap (large rock covering a bridge support slope)
off an overpass. This kind of thing happens more often than it
should.

Several years ago, a woman was killed when kids dropped rocks over
the Military Road overpass on I-680 in Omaha. So this has happened
before.

The victim is from Montana, so I see where the Montana reference comes
from.

Did they say which one, because I thought MN 15 was an underpass
there?
