I'm old school. I open a terminal window and use the commandline ftp client. It works. :-)
Apple posted a hint a month or so ago saying you could use Finder to mount an ftp site to upload files. It was quickly taken down as Finder will only mount an ftp site as read-only. The rumormill suggests that Leopard will allow read/write access.
We can only hope.
