New Brunswick is finally completing the 8 mile gap in 4 lane highway
between the end of I95 at the US Border (Houlton, Maine) and the Trans
Canada Highway at Woodstock, NB. It will open this fall. This
essentially extends the North American freeway network an additional
320 miles east to New Glasgow, NS.

I recently drove TC 2 from near Houlton, ME to Moncton (and on to PEI
from there) and then back all the way to the Québec border and I must
say that TC is a beautiful road and a well built freeway. It also
appears that there is a freeway facility under construction from NB 95
all the way to the Québec border, which I found quite impressive as
well.
That should be connecting on into A-85.
Yes, but it doesn't look like Québec is doing that at the moment. The
corridor was quite busy for a Thursday afternoon. I could see the need
for an upgrade as there were quite a few trucks.
