Hi All,
Other than a performance issue (I had the laptop on for 4 hours and it
was fairly hot, which led me to stop in Truckee and turn off the
laptop for 15 minutes to let the battery cool down) that caused the
frames-per-second to slow down for 20 - 30 seconds (x5) during a 23
minute shoot, (thus creating some undesirable results), all of my
videos from Sacramento to Reno were a success. For all of you who
have never seen I-80 over the Sierras, here's a chance to see the
entire route from Sacramento to Reno.
The highlights have to be the following 4 videos:
Part 14: Auburn to Colfax (CA 49 to CA 174). You guys will enjoy the
many hills and dips in this one.

Part 15: Colfax to Emigrant Gap near CA 20 (Sierra Nevada). The last
minute features awesome views.

Part 16: Emigrant Gap to Truckee (includes Donner Pass). Watch my
car get tossed around like a rag-doll along the worst sections of
pavement. There are 5 annoying stretches of frames-per-second gaps,
so I apologize in advance. I'll come out here again in the not-too-
distant future to reshoot this stretch of I-80 (with a cooled-down
laptop battery, too).

Part 17: Truckee to the CA/NV border. More fantastic scenery.
http://blip.tv/file/270551
The drive into Reno is fairly interesting, too.

Also included are Sacramento to Auburn videos, which are divided into
the following:
Part 11: I-5 to Business 80. I admit this one is fairly boring.
http://blip.tv/file/269675
Part 12: Business 80 to CA 65 in Roseville. This stretch of I-80
widens to 14 lanes, and maintains fairly heavy urban traffic.
http://blip.tv/file/269747
Part 13: Roseville to Auburn (CA 65 to CA 49). The last minute
features some well-engineered curves.

The videos generally run between 7 and 23 minutes.
I hope everyone enjoys the footage. Later everyone.

In part 16, what music were you playing?- Hide quoted text -

'Sup Sherman,
The songs that were played in clip 16...
1.) D.H.T. - "Listen To Your Heart" (Dance Remix)
2.) Ferry Corsten - "Punk". It's kinda hard to listen to this song,
though, due to the rumbling noise coming from the 40+ year old
pavement in the right lane.
3.) Deep Dish - "Dreams" featuring Stevie Nicks
4.) Roberta Childs - "Dreams" (Radio Edit)
5.) Kaskade - "Everything" (Radio Edit)
6.) Mars - "Fallen Angel", although this was recorded at a rave in San
Francisco, and, as a result, you'll have to buy the CD at your local
music store. The CD album is simply called "Mars - Sonic Sunrise"
Hope you enjoyed the video(s), Sherman.
