That's an interesting question. What should we expect from a Usenet
newsgroup in terms of behavior? It seems naive to think that a group
like this would be a bastion of civility and order. As long as
everyone has access, doesn't that mean we have to...tolerate(?) the
intrusion of the less civil from time to time?

Respectfully, "time to time" seems to be "more and more" these days. It gets
old after a while.
