I hadn't heard about it either, but then again, I don't pay much
attention to things like this.
How much of a need is there for a "corridor" between Washington and
Ottawa? It's symbolic I suppose, but how much land traffic exists
between the two cities? I would think linking two industrial cities or
an industrial city to a port city would make more sense.
Also what's to stop someone from today driving between the two? Is a
"corridor" really that necessary?
My thoughts as well, isn't I-270, I-70 (or I-95 and I-83), I-81, ON 401 and ON 416 good enough?
