Send this along to FHWA. Some DOTs (ahem) are going roundabout-crazy
given the federal initiative (i.e. roundabouts are better than
signals...roundabouts are better than signals...fatalities go
down...fatalities go down...--and fender-benders go up!).
New Jersey used to be traffic-circle crazy; there were 67 of them at one
point in the state. That number has gone down and many have been altered
with flyover ramps or cut-through roads. I don't know of any new ones in NJ
in a long time.
