But you have to be careful when using roundabouts in interchanges.
They can't handle too much traffic volume. MDSHA is having to put a
traffic signal to interrupt traffic flowing into a roundabout at a MD
100 interchange so that traffic exiting the freeway doesn't back up
too much...
Send this along to FHWA. Some DOTs (ahem) are going roundabout-crazy
given the federal initiative (i.e. roundabouts are better than
signals...roundabouts are better than signals...fatalities go
down...fatalities go down...--and fender-benders go up!).
