And like the West Side Highway, there will be those inconvenienced by
the lost of the highway.

How much extra time and mileage is the indirect reroute along 265 going
to add for through traffic?

This is trying to make Louisville similar St. Louis; certain areas are
denied direct freeway access to and across certain areas, in this case,
downtown. But this is worse, since the freeway route already existed.

Perhaps the size of Spaghetti Junction could be downsized by adding a
new freeway along the west and south sides of downtown connecting I-64
at 9th to I-65 somewhere south of Chestnut and removing the connection
from EB 64 to SB 65 and NB 65 to WB 64 from Spaghetti Junction.

Or 64 should be put on a new route from Corydon IN to I-264's curve at
Mercer Avenue.

The old route of 64 through Louisville might be better as a Business
Loop than using a couple of x64's.
