Seriously, one of the big problems I have is that our government is mirroring our credit card society. We want everything *now* whether or not we want to actually *pay* for it. Between Medicare prescription drug coverage, Katrina relief, the Iraq War, Homeland Security, etc., we are spending more and more - but taxes are staying the same.
Jon, we ARE paying for it. How much in taxes does the average household pay? How much of that do we actually benefit from? I'd MUCH rather see the government build roads for us instead of spending my money on illegal wars and paying criminals like *** Cheney and the Enron CEO.
