It has also been several years since I've been on this stretch. I guess I
didn't say it well, but what I was getting at is that KY 35 is probably the
best way to get between 71 and 127.

If my memory is correct the actual straightening starts just beyond the
intersection, but there is construction (to shift the traffic and such) that
starts a little before the intersection.

Haha - that's what I get for writing this at midnight. I meant Harrodsburg.

Hmm. It sounds like you are describing what I saw, but maybe it has been
expanded a little bit since then.

I've been on TN 111 several times and I highly reccommend it. The two lane
parts are very much high-speed routes and pass through areas that are very
sparsley populated. The crossing of Walden's Ridge (between US 127 and US
27) is an amazing piece of roadway. It has also been converted to all
limited access in the last couple of years but maps don't seem to show this
yet.
