I am finally mailing in my 2006 1040, complete with schedule C for my

"ACS-Correspondence" in Bensalem, PA. Is there a benefit to mail it there
vs the standard location for my state (NJ)?

Tell us, did you receive any notice about your 2006 taxes?

If so, did that prompt you to complete and file your tax return?

That means someone is tracking your 2006 return, and is in
Philadelphia, and you should send a copy of your IRS Notice
and the tax return to the address on the Notice.

But if you are in the US, you would be OK sending the tax return
to whatever address is listed in the 2007 Form 1040 Instruction
booklet.
