paying NY state estate taxes

I just found I am to be involved with a probate in NY state. I
consider myself a rather good researcher, but can't seem to find the
answer to my question which is What is the miniimum dollar amount of
the estate that would require paying taxes to the state of NY?
Can anyone answer this or point me to a good site. The pages I've
pulled up all have different numbers. Thanks Liz
