Re: Need advice on countries where I can live & minimize taxes

If you are highly skilled in technology, you can live in China tax
free. I know over 40 aerospace engineers who have moved to China over
the last decade to escape predatory taxation in the US. China pays
the what they were earning for companies like Boeing, Lockheed-Martin
and others, but does not tax them as long as they work on military or
space related projects. These engineers have helped China accelerate
their space program. It's a huge loss for the USA, but those who
craft and "enforce" tax policy in the US could not care less.
America. it was a fun experiment while it lasted.

Hi, I am a self-employed US citizen currently living in Costa Rica.
The Costa Rican government is in the process of passing a new tax bill.
If what I have read about the bill is correct, then between US self
employment taxes and double taxation on income by the US and Costa
Rican governments I will end up paying TWO THIRDS OR MORE of my income
in taxes in addition to the 13% Costa Rican sales tax on everything I
spend. I also read that they are going to start taxing rental income
here too and of course landlords will just pass that on in higher
rents. I am not willing to pay most of my income in taxes so I am
thinking about leaving.

Can y'all recommend any sites where I can go for more information about
various places in the world where I can live and pay a minimum amount
of taxes? Also where can I learn more about places I can keep my
finances private from various prying governments? Thanks!
