Since I owe for the state, I haven't sent that in yet.
If the state DOES change, do I then file a Federal amended return, then
the state return? Or do I just file the state with the new AGI?
What does the state say they want?
If they'll accept the state amended return without a copy of the federal
amended return, then have at it. Otherwise, prepare the federal amended
return as a supporting document to the state amended return.
Areas that this ~might~ be of concern, would be the addition of muni
interest income (no federal impact) that is not from your resident state
(increases state taxes).
