My entire family uses TaxAct and has been for years. I order the deluxe package after I file each year, and they don't bill my credit card till mid-January of the following year. This year it cost me $17 for federal, state and federal e-file. State e-file is an extra ~$7.95 at the time of filing. The program's lightweight, easy to use, and as far as I can tell, accurate. I highly recommend it.
I haven't used Turbo Tax since their copy-protection debacle. But I used it for several years prior with no real issues.
Regards,
Margaret

I am getting e-mails for a software called TaxACT. They claim that it is free.
I searched the archives of this group, there are some older discussions that mention bugs.
How is the product now? Any bugs? How does it compare to TrboTax
versions?
Thanks!
