It will depend on the facts and circumstances.
Initially it sounds like your primary work location is going to be in the
other state, and what you have is going to be non-deductible commuting.
If the facts and circumstances dictate that you are just working at a
temporary location (away from your regular place of work) then the travel,
lodging, meals, etc. expenses will be deductible as ordinary business
expenses.
Also, if this is a "temporary" location, you need to be sure that it is for
~less~ than one year, otherwise it isn't a temporary work location any more.
