That cuts both ways. I go through a set of bike tires about once a year, but
the local dealer doesn't carry the brand I prefer so I order from the
internet. I can't fault a small dealer in a small town for not carrying an
extensive inventory, but I can't throw them business either.
The internet make it easier, but I was mail ordering components from Midway
and books from Loompanics before Al Gore invented the net. You might as
well blame magazines and catlogs.
