County governments are touting the benefits of keeping costs

I've read of some areas where a bunch of towns folk get together in a
co-operative and essentially buy the farmers output. The farmer gets
X bucks a week, he delivers up Y pounds of high quality produce.
Everybody seems happy with the deal. Farmer has his stuff sold before
it's grown and a reliable income, city folk get good fresh food.
more commonly a group of farmers form a co-op. The co-op buys up all
the farmers output at an agreed upon market price and the co-op
distribrutes and sells the food.
