Yes, it is a good idea to wear a helmet.  But in some situations,
wearing a helmet merely means that you may have an open casket at the
funeral.  Losing it on  Interstate 8 half way between Yuma  and El
Centro (del Nada) tends to be fatal, helmet or not.

They still result in savings of life.

   I've noted this, that those who do not believe in a  theistic
deity, seem to often believe in a deterministic deity, which is often
refereed to as Darwinism.
   But then they'll mandate all manners of controls on people "if it
saves one life", as if saving every life was some kind of sacred duty,
and not an interference in the Darwinian process of natural selection.

   Curious, is it not?

And why shouldn't I deny something that is completely false? Unlike
you, I know myself, I know my philosophies, and I know my beliefs.
And none of them make me a Marxist nor an atheist. Since you were
referring in your previous post to a person that is a "Marxist
atheist", and since I am neither a Marxist nor an atheist, that means
that your opinion does not apply to me at all.

What's more, your claim is false on its face since there is no reason
to discount the opinion of a person that follows a Marxist philosophy
nor the opinion of an atheist out of hand simply because the person is
either of them. Such a statement shows quite a bit of prejudice and
close-mindedness, since you show an unwillingness to listen to people
just because of their perceived positions, rather than considering
their arguments in the merits of those arguments.

Your statement is self-defeating, and thus you have defeated yourself
by sticking with that position.
