Considering some parents I think it often is now.
At least the genetics is likely passed down from some grandparents
considering that both parents are dum as a rock and the kid should be
running things as it is fairly smart.

I recognize that it would be intentional in this situation, like
breeding cows to get more milk and such.
But the outcome would not be different then it is now.

Some are superior to others.

There could be an entire race that was superior to others.

If a person is genetically disposed to something like intelligence in
a useful area, stronger, or prettier, don't they act like they are
superior and everyone else is inferior?

What if they, and all their peers, are genetically disposed to all
three?

No difference.
Once someone thinks they are superior they think they are superior,
despite how many or how few ways they are actually superior.

And it would be no different then having physical education in school.
Both improving the students body (and thereby appearance) and mind.

Imagine a race with superior intellect, genetically enhanced strength,
an enhanced immune system, and other traits that we can't even imagine
since they don't occur in nature such as the ability to regenerate
lost body parts.  A hybrid race.

I may be thinking about a Star Trek episode.  However, it now appears
not only possible, but probable.

The Botany Bay I think was the name of there ship.
I seen that plot as a series as well as when they used it in a move.

I don't think that it will be a race, considering that all races
(black, white, yellow, ect) will be able to get the enhancement.
However, I guess race would be as good a label as any.
Maybe more like a species, like comparing us to chimps.

This will be more like all the Harvard graduates also taking weight
lifting while in collage.

Some people now are much better genetic specimens then others who are
at the other end of the chart.
I don't see there existence as a bad thing, even though there
arrogance is often rather annoying.
I wonder if arrogance, kindness and cooperation can be genetically

Color of skin is just a few genes...easily manipulated.

As are almost all other physical characteristics.

Ironic how trival they are considering the grief they have caused the
human species.

As for genetic improvement...it happens all the time...the
species...any species adapts to its current environment which can
include economical, political, ecological, etc. conditions.

As for the current species of human to become obselete...it can, will
and is happening now.

The ability to manipulate genes will only accelerate what has always
happened.

Like I said, with the right science, politics and resources the
current model can be obselete in a generation.

Then you can watch how society deals with the leftovers....us.

An interesting example are fat people. The species genetics are bred
for feast or famine for survival. In the land of plenty, most people
are driven by genetics to overeat. Their survival rate is poorer and
their breeding success is less....all trends to cull the herd for
those best adapted to food aplenty. When famine occurs, the reverse
occurs.

What I am interested in is if politics can be bred...can a government
breed a species to only one Party..and if so which one?
