Mechanical mathematician for solar parabolic cooker construction.

http://www.appropedia.org/Image:Cobmould.JPG shows my latest mechanical
mathematician. It is better than previous ones because it is more rigid
(the arm rests on a horisontal cross piece on the mould) and you do not
make a full dish.
A full dish means you have to lean in close to the
burning hot centre to reach your food.
This one (a section of a dish) allows both tracking to cook or accumulate
heat all day and a table at 3 ft high or so to protect the user from stray
heat or light. A much better situation.
My mould is made of cob and it is currently drying. I will be putting
cardboard or plastic *** down on the mould and cutting out parts to get
the right shape to fit the mould snugly and then adding a layer of kitchen
foil.
Hopefully some of you will try it.
