Re: Iraq implodes as Shia fights Shia



So basically back to business as usual in Iraq. Perhaps it's time,
despite Turkish objections, to divide Iraq into three countries,
Kurdistan, Sunistan, and Shiistan. Of course that won't stop the
various factions from fighting. And the real problem with dividing
Iraq is that the resulting countries are likely to immediately align
themselves with neighbors like Saudi Arabia and Iran. Who knows what
that would lead to. It makes you nostalgic for the days when Saddam
would gas Kurds and bury Shiites in mass graves. My guess is Iraq is
destined to be another Lebanon with militias fighting militias for
decades.
