When you have been around long enough you will see a pattern. Every year is
the year of the killer flu. Rush. Rush. Rush down and pay for a shot in the
arm. Every year there is a shortage of vaccine and the price is up.

This year there is an excess. They are begging people to get shots
and admit huge numbers of doses will go unused. So much for the
"always" claim.

I've had both the Flu, and Pneumonia, and thought I was going to DIE.

Now I get a flu shot every 1 year, and a Pneumonia vaccination every 5
years, per doctor's orders.

Right now, I have a respiratory infection. This I can live with,
although it is somewhat unpleasant. I am taking azithromycin (sp?)

There are bacterial pneumonias, in which case, antibiotics work. And
there are viral pneumonias, in which case anti-viral drugs are needed.

Left untreated, pneumonia can kill. Left untreated, flu can kill.
These things aren't harmless, as some nitwits would lead us to
believe.
