I'm wondering why you moved *three doors away.* I would have moved 3
STATES AWAY.
As you well know, we all age and those arrows all point in the same
irreversible direction such that my knee joint arthritic issues from the
post polio syndrome were making the ascent up my one flight of stairs
increasingly troublesome. I had a chance to move into another cottage, a
ground level unit, and it made for about as smooth a move as I've ever
done. Now when I get everything all sorted and arranged to the new
layout, I have to re-install the antenna farm. That's another reason for
leasing from the same owner, his understanding of the hobby.
Moving does get more difficult as we age.
I've noticed all the excess baggage people have accumulated over their
lifetimes when they move in and out of my own neighborhood. The guy
across the street needed 3 full sized dumpsters to throw out his
rubbish when he moved. It's amazing how much crap one can accumulate.
Then you make the decision...do I need to or want to take this stuff
with me? My answer is usually no. It is cheaper to toss it than
transport and/or store it.
In your case, since you're only moving 3 doors down...I guess you can
just keep it all.
