Those who advocate "gun rights" should recognize that guns should be
handed out free to all citizens by the Government and financed by the
taxpayers....after all it is a "right".
The Constitution doesn't say quite that; just that Congress is responsible for arming the Militia as they see fit.
The 2nd Amendment says people can possess and use arms, but is mute on the points of purchase, ownership, and regulation. The 2nd in no way prevents Congress or any other government agency from regulating the purchase and ownership of any or all types of arms.
If you people would just read.
