Agreed. That was the point of the article and why I posted it.

Neocons took over the Democrat party and then moved to the Republican
party. They are neither. They are cameleon parasites.

They ran 'claiming' they were conservative. Once in office they
followed an agenda neither party supports and to finance it, they
adopted financial policies so far out of sight that even the most
liberal Dem is appalled.

They are truly their own breed, not really part of either historical
mainstream but they have so discredited Republicans in general, and
Conservatives in particular, that they won't be taken seriously for a
long time to come.

Be ever vigilant.

Actually, the revelation of the existance of this tyrannical
socio-political branch with ties to pre-WWII communists and socialists
has brought forth a myriad of supporters in kind if not in spirit.

According to polling and survey results we can interpolate that about
25% of the American public thoroughly believes in the practice of
preemptive war and the abolition or restrictions of American freedom.

For some, the cry that the sky is falling appeals to a fragile ego in
dire need of attention and validation. The identification of an
incoherent threat such as terrorism is just what the doctor
ordered. For others the opportunity to strike out and destroy at
will is itself the goal. Fear, pent-up frustration and a lack of
principle lends itself to servitude to the third component of this
polity of unrestrained aggression - the pragmatists, those who
manipulate the others to achieve their goals. We may collectively
use their own descriptor, Neocons.

Their rationale has been the claim that the nation's very survival is
at stake but lately this has been expanded to 'western civilization'.
No doubt many believe this while others are content to use the
emotional appeal to drive their own agendas. I believe that either
would gladly 'detain' you and me and wage an all-out war on the
world if given the opportunity.

Naziism and other nationalistic flavors survive and thrive in open
political systems. In America these are not just the stereotyped
'skinheads' or neo-Nazis but also the self-styled *conservative*
elements of the Democrat and Republican parties.

They are proving very destructive to this country.

As they have been to every national host they've controlled. Uruguay,
Paraguay, Argentina, Germany, France, Russia, Spain and Italy come
immediately to mind. And now we find them at the controls of the
US.
