Alcohol wipes are the best kindling I know of!!
Excellent idea! Although they will dry out eventually, especially
when stored in hot cars.
Not in foil wraps they don't!!
In Arizona they do. And it doesn't take that long. Air temps of 11x
F are common and I find the inside of my vehicle at 140-150 F after a
day in the sun. That's all day, every day for about three months.
There's other places to store things than on the dash board!!
A small airtight wooden (cigar type) box in the shade under one of the
seats for example would help.
Chuckle...Mark...currently at 11:08 am, its 102F in the shade in my
shop. Now my pickup truck is black. Care to figure out what the inside
temp is?
Even if it were white, it would only be a few degrees cooler than the
black one. Consider this. What is an enclosed metal box that is heated
from either the inside or the outside.
Its called an oven.
Inside temps will reach 130F easily during midday, pretty much uniformly
no matter if its under the seat or tucked up under the dash. Ive put on
metal framed sunglasses straight from inside the glove box, and have
gotten burned badly enough to blister.
