If I absolutely *had* to for survival I suppose I could choke down
mushrooms. Blecque!

Be real careful about that! Only a couple/few varieties are
edible...the rest are poisonous or hallucinatory. And many poisonous
and non-poisonous varieties "in the wild" look alike. Sometimes even
the pros get fooled and end up in the hospital.

I think I would rather eat dandelions. Dandelion soup. yeah that
sounds OK...and find some wheat somewhere, on the stalk. And maybe
some corn. Wild berries? Again, some are poisonous. Careful with
those also. Possibly some nuts on the ground that could be soaked in
water to loosen the shell, or just boiled.

In one way, Anal C is correct. If you study your woodlore, and get
good at it, you can maybe survive in the wild by living off the
largesse of the land. But it takes a lot of training to be able to do
this...probably more than anyone in this n/g is willing to go through.

It probably takes a lifetime to learn what you need to know, starting
at a very early age. At least that's how the Indians do it.
