Sure it's stealing. If the guys who owned it wanted you to have it, he wouldn't have locked it. That's the purpose of the lock.

And with this skill, you can also take his food, his guns, and his women. But we're not talking about stealing or rape.

Of course, like I said, his skill may be how to make a hangman's knot. Not to kill people, of course, but to simply stop people from taking his stuff.
