Well the price of feeder cattle has eased from the $119 level of a few years ago to around $100 to day. The outlook for feeder cattle is expected to remain in the $100 per hundred weight range.
Several factors have depressed the prices. The major one is the loss of foreign markets for American beef due to the occurrence of Mad Cow disease in the United States. The second factor is the decrease of beef in the American diet.
