What is the storage life of:
Kerosene
many many years, if kept in a proper container
Gasoline (is there a difference for different grades?)
1 year without stabilizer, 2 year with stabilizer
Gasoline loses volatility over time and will
eventually breakdown to a gooey mass. That's takes
a long, long time.
Gasoline may also take on water which can screwup
the fuel feed to the engine and cause problems
with combustion.
Untreated, gasoline can be used when it's 10 to
20 years old but it will likely be inefficient.
Since emergencies or long term storage require a
dependable fuel, we add stabilizers.
Stabilizers prevent or minimize the above problems.
Just follow the instructions on the container.
Diesel
no idea
What does adding stabilizers do to this time and is there "better" (brand)
stabilizer out there?
Adds 1 year, and I recommend "Stabil"
2 oz to every 5 gallons of fuel
Thanks muchwelcome
