Spring time in cattle country/

Well today it got up to 40 degrees and we had bright sunshine and little wind. I pulled my AeroPuppy out of the barn, and Gave it a bath. Do any of you guy know how much surface area a twin engine aircraft has? Well let me tell you, its a bunch. After that I applied some good old Turtle Wax to the nose, wings and tail surfaces. (Used an electric polisher for that little task.

When it was all clean and shiny I fired her up and went for a little hop. Lifted off from the ranch, set a course of 343 magnetic and headed for Lovell.

By the time I crossed the Sweetwater, I was at angels 25 and showing 250 knots on the ole GPS. I followed the Bighorn River up past Thermopolis, Worland, Greybull to Lovell. AT Lovell I did a left 90 and headed for West Yellowstone Montana. From West Yellowstone, I crossed back into Wyoming over Yellowstone National Park, down south over Jackson's hole and landed for a piss and a hamburger at Afton Wyoming before heading back home.

Yeap there was just me, the sky, the sun, the good earth below, and the hum of a pair of 350 HP Lycomings turning at 2200 RPM.

Today indeed, my soul has drunk deep, from the well of enlightenment.
