Most is -- most. Yes, you can find the odd exception.
How many do you want?
But
most 20 gauge shotguns are lighter than their 12 gauge
equivalents. The 20 gauge 11-87 is certainly lighter than
the 12 gauge 11-87.
The 20 weighs in at approx 6.25 pounds....the 12 is approx 7.25 pounds
with the same 23" barrel. You're right on that one.
Anyone who has actually handled a lot of shotguns knows
this.
Anyone that's handled a "lot" of shotguns knows not to dump weight to
get a good working gun. If you're weak in the arms, a light 20 gauge
will often do more damage to you than a 12 weighing a pound more.
Anyone that's handled a "lot" of shotguns knows a shorter pull stock,
getting the center of gravitry closer to the body, is by far more
beneficial than simply finding a lighter gun.
And buying a $350 cap and ball revolver and then retrofitting it with
a $250 adapter to "avoid paper trails"....? That's original. Gotta
say that much.
