Two-month-old girl found floating in lake in a carrier By Natalie Walker
Horrible, aint it? This is what Brazilians do, however. It is not unknown for businesses to hire thugs to go out and kill the abandoned street children who hang around their allies, looking for garbage they can eat. That they treat their own children as garbage, well, that's just Brazil.
Years ago , I went to a seminar on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu here in Australia . During a break , we were sitting around on the dojo mats (the Brazilians are very informal) and during a conversation , they asked what I did for a living Like quite a few of the people attending , I was in the security business and said so . The temperature in the hall dropped about twenty degrees until our Australian host explained to the two visiting instructors that "security" here in Australia was quite different to that in Rio , where they came from . Fortunately the host had spent some time in Rio , and was quite aware that "security" in that part of the world frequently meant "death squad". After the seminar , the Brazilian instructors told us some charming stories about crime in the favellas and suburbs of Rio , which helped put the whole "death squad" thing into some kind of perspective . Isn't it sick, what goes on in Brazil?
