Acetone In Fuel Said to Increase Mileage
Readily-available chemical added to gas tank in small proportion improves the fuel's ability to vaporize completely by reducing the surface tension that inhibits vaporization of some fuel droplets.

Acetone dissolves neoprene. What are your fuel lines made of? If you have fuel injectors then they'll likely get plugged quickly as will your fuel filter.
Yes, acetone burns hot. You may burn valves and plugs too depending on the ratios used.
Berryman's B-12 Chemtool contains acetone. I've used it as a gas additive for years with no ill effects.
