Hurricane Update - A Lesson For Us All...

On the 10,000 evacuees at the Superdome, from General Ralph Lupin,
Commander of National Guard at the sports facility:

"I know people want to leave, but they can't leave," he said. "There's
3 feet of water around the Superdome."

Thus, 10,000 people (for an assortment of reasons) felt it necessary to
accept government assistance at the outset of this disaster. They were
prohibited from bringing any weapons at all. Now, with water waist-deep
surrounding the Superdome, they are preparing for a complete evacuation
of *that* facility. Hundreds are confined to wheelchairs within the
complex. Now, the commanding General on site has ordered that no one
may leave. Even if they could, armed looters are filling up dumpsters
with stolen property and floating right past police and the military,
who are doing nothing to stop them.

We need to think RIGHT NOW:
The military and civilian authorities have demanded the full evacuation
of your entire city. You have no utilities of any kind, armed looters
have taken over, and you have exactly 30 minutes to drive away. It may
be weeks - even months - before you can return.

Have I missed anything?
