You might recall the "black bloc", and the claims that destruction of property was not really violence? One of my greatest regrets was that the WTO meetings began in Seattle, Washington, which is in a concealed carry state, and continued in areas without concealed carry. Now, if the meetings had begun in a gun control state and went to Seattle for the 2nd or 3rd meeting... I know that I would certainly react in a pessimistic and cynical fashion if someone broke a window in a cafe I was in.
