for the past 7 years wake county NC has enjoyed the status of
being one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. with
the new home sales to back the awarding of this pride filled
recognition home builders have enjoyed profits beyond most
investors wildest expectations. recently having been effected
by the economic down turn the home builder's association has
reported a 50% reduction in the sale of new homes.

today a contingent numbering over 80 persons in their delegation are
in washington asking for help by approaching the government asking for
consideration to their unfortunate difficult and precarious situation
brought on by their decreased abating and diminishing profits.

we have been told they are only asking that the lawmakers give
consideration for how they can implement incentives designed for
the purpose of making it easier for those evaluating the purchase
of a new home to do so during this period of tight credit.

however, there is concern of how the delegates of the home builders
association are viewing the 700 billion dollar bailout programs as a
cash grab and only attempting to further enrich themselves.

I strongly suggest how you yourselves and in representation of your
interest make some phones calls to your representatives in washington
this morning for the purpose of going on record for how it is wrong
to ignore the plight of areas in our nation were many people are
suffering the results of this recession while giving consideration to
funding an area where there is still growth and prosperity. assisting
those whose need is the greatest should be the first priority and not
lining the pockets of those who can and are still doing well on their
own.
