yeah, that's not the one i was looking to post. i'll see if i
can find the non-biased one again... i didn't bookmark it.
personally, neither plan is good. McCain's is going to cause
soaring costs & cause more people to lose coverage (although
it's possible that in 5 or 6 years the market might actually
even out). Obama's won't work because it won't get funded.
all *i* want is a way to buy coverage for calamities, like
major illness or accidents. i don't really need coverage for
my annual exams & basic care.
while i'm at it, i'd like doctors to be honest about costs. i
was told up front that the MRIs & surgery for my cancer would
be around $24k. it was actually a little less.
however, i couldn't get any costs for the radiation ahead of
time & now have $32k i need to pay for that. *if* i had known,
i could have price checked between a couple different
hospitals. apparently the hospital i used doesn't have a no-
insurance discount. what *really* peeves me is the $500 every
time i had a less than 5 minute chat with the radiation doctor
(once/week). it was a waste of both my time & my money (and i
may request it be removed from my bill...)
