So do "untrained" adults. I took thousands of pictures of my best buddy who
happened to be a cat named Bob. THE BEST photo of all that I have, at the top

Was taken by my wife. She had essentially no photography experience but she
saw Bob in this lovely pose, found my fully automatic point'n'shoot pocket
camera, turned it on and snapped the shot. With a little editing to get rid
of the less-than-charming background, that photo won her a couple of amateur
awards.

That is a near-perfect shot taken by a rank amateur. Amazing how often that
happens.
