What, 50 and 60 pounds for a permit is trivial? Living
in a state where I can purchase as many repeating rifles
and shotguns as I wish at will so long as I sign the
forms and I am "obviously" (to the responsible seller)
a competent adult certainly makes the requirements you
believe trivial rather onerous indeed!
Have you checked the prices of guns in the UK?
I did a very quick hunt and looked at prices for a Berretta Silver Hawk 12g.
In the US its estimated price is $US450. In the UK there is one for sale
for 2095 UK Pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
