if people are passing this around as an example to "allow prayer in school", then it's just more misinformation.
prayer has *never been banned* from public schools in the US. kids can pray all they want, as long as it is silent. what was outlawed was any public school pushing any particular religion.
while i do think all gods are one god, i don't particularly believe that the Christian "God" is the "one true god" and i don't want anyone, teacher, neighbor or politician, telling my kid that my family has the "wrong" beliefs. it's none of anyone elses business.
one of the many reasons my son is not in public school in my town is because it's heavily infiltrated by the local Evangelical Christian church. i do NOT want a young child exposed to that before he is able to decern truth from the lies.

Seems that even though there was prayer going on, it wasn't particularly effectual.
