Gopher and mole elimination success

Hi all,
I been a long time reader but have rarely posted. I have been trying
to get rid of both gophers and moles on my 10 acre plot in north west
oregon. I have tried everything over the last 10 years with victor
traps being the most effective. Moles will fall for it once but
gophers will not touch them. A few weeks back my wife obtained a trap
from a friend at work that encorporates a 16 gauge shotgun shell. At
first I has issue with it not firing off when triggered and I reworked
it a bit so now it works 95 percent of the time. I have taken out 6
gophers and 3 moles over the last 4 days. I'm now moving down to the
lower acreage to take out the one or two remaining. Anyway, just
wanted to share my success story and wondered if anyone has had
experience with such a device? I almost want to go into a side
business but I expect the liability would not make it feasable. I
understand why it cannot be sold as a retail trap but why cannot it be
marketed/sold as a gun? Any patent liability people out there? Can I
share the information on the web on how to construct these bad boys? I
have not found plans to date.
Thanks,
Bob
